The Canon Rebel T2i DSLR was officially announced by Canon today and with that announcement came a bunch of specs for the high end DSLR and both body only and lens bundled pricing. The T2i includes an 18.7MP CMOS shooter with Full HD 1080p 30fps video capture abilities and an ISO range of 100 to 6400. The unit also features a 63-zone Dual Layer Metering System and comes equipped with Canon DIGIC 4 Imaging Processor.

We’re pretty sure we didn’t see a military grade rating on the Canon EOS Rebel XT, but don’t tell  Calin Leucuta that, rumor has it their phone fell from 3,000 feet and survived in rather decent condition. Calin was apparently taking pictures from 3,000 feet when his camera mount broke off, sending his XT scrambling to the ground at a terminal velocity of approximately 100mph.

The Canon EOS-1D Mark IV was officially announced today and comes with the type of features we’d expect to see on a $4,999 professional powerhouse. The camera starts out with a 16.1 megapixel APS-H CMOS sensor, offers an ISO range of 100 to 12,800 native and up to 102,400.  The camera also features 45-point area customizable autofocus, which comes equipped with 39 high-precision cross-type focusing points, dual Digic 4 proocessors and even recording in 1080p HD video. The Mark IV also offers an available WFT-E2 IAA wireless file transmitter and connects via WiFi 801.11a/b/g and if you choose through an ethernet port connection.
